Hello All!

This week has been a good but crazy week. We had to take our car in so we have had to walk everywhere all week. Thats easily 10-15 miles a day. Its killer sometimes. We were exhausted most of the day. I could never be a pioneer. Id die. But we set 7 baptismal dates!! And we are setting another one tonight! It is so awesome seeing how the Lord is hastening his work.

We got to see some cool people this week. The cute mother Ashley I talked about last week? Well we went to see her, and she was already on chapter 11 in the BoM and loving it!! She wants to be baptized and wants to come to church :) Super cool.
The investigator who came to church decided to come to FHE and they set around the campfire and the recent converts shared their conversion stories. It was super spiritual and I think he will be really solid. It just made me so excited to be a missionary as they told their stories. He is slowly reading and he tells us the book feels like its alive. We are hoping to see him keep progressing and to baptize him this month :)

Sister Andrus is pretty funny. Tuesday she randomly says she is going to try something fun. My immediate comment was " Yeah the last time you said that we ran 2 miles to Walmart" And yup I was right. She wanted to make a squash casserole...... We need to reevaluate her definition of fun. But it actually tasted pretty good to her credit.

Because we didnt have a car we couldnt drive to district meeting. So we had to sit outside the library in the freezing cold and skype in. It was kind of interesting trying to do it over skype but it was ok because we brought popcorn.

Justin fed us dinner this week. I just love him and his family. They are the coolest people ever. He made me promise to come back after my mission so he can take us dirt biking. (Dad we are taking a roadtrip :))

Sister A almost got hit by a car. Luckily I saw it in time and was able to stop her. We had the right of way in the cross walk and a guy came speeding around the corner and would have ran over her. Little bit of a sketchy moment.

Saturday we ran into a guy named Nova... Nova was a very.. fun.. individual. He basically declared himself a prophet and told us Moses and God speaks to him. Also ran into an old man that is completely psychotic. Goes on and on about how the book tells him things and how Jesus is in him and all that jazz. Very interesting. Trying to help a guy stop drinking and smoking. He is drunk most of the time but is such a cool dude. If he gets off the stuff he would be such a solid investigator. Hoping to get him to quit soon.

This Sunday I had to give a talk. The high councilman was the other speaker. And randomly the Stake President decided to come to Paoli. Talk about nerve wracking! I had to speak on sacrifice. Everyone said they loved it though. Brother Rathfon who used to be the old bishop said that was the greatest talk he has ever heard on that subject. They were pretty impressed. So thats awesome. The high councilman is awesome. He just loves missionaries. After church we got to go to a baptism in the Ward. This old guy told me someone was telling a story about me today in church but couldnt remember who or what the story was about... makes me wonder who it was and what they said....
We got to go to a hymn sing that night too. A bunch of churches in Crawford county come together and people take turns going up and singing hymns. Lots of southern gospel music. It was awesome. The drive there was brutal though. Crazy windy roads and I had to sit in the back of this little tiny car. Needless to say I thought I was going to die I felt so sick. It wasnt just the drive either, but the drive made it 10x worse. But it was still really fun. Lots of people hollering Amen and hand clapping good baptist gospel music. Banjos, Guitars, It was just great. Then we get up and sing Be still my Soul and Sweet Hour of Prayer. But a few people got their phones out to record us and it is a great way to make relationships with the community.

I get to wear my awesome Halloween socks today for Halloween. It should be a pretty fun day. I just love this gospel. I love seeing people come to find peace and joy through the message we bring. I love seeing how the Lord hastens his work and prepares people to receive this gospel. Somehow things just seem to work out perfectly, even if at first is seems like a disaster. I know this gospel is true! I know that the Lord is aware of us and loves us. I know that by obeying his commandments we can find joy and peace in a world that is everything but.
I love and miss you all! Have a great week! And happy Halloween!!

She was saying that these floating webs were flying around everywhere and creeping her out.

She is complaining how fat she is getting that now she can give herself a double chin. Oh brother!! Seriously that crazy girl of mine...

This is their Drunk that they are teaching. She says he is actually pretty talented when he is sober. Hoping she can help him and make some great changes in his life..

Got sent this picture from the High councilman in their Stake, He said she is doing great!!
