October 3rd Letter from Allie

Hey all.
Sorry for the short email. This week has been super crazy week. We had
exchanges, a sisters conference, a twig social, lots of lessons and
conference. It has rained a lot but mom sent me some rain stuff just
in time! It as a lot of fun. Spent Pday up at a members farm. Super
fun. Caught a chicken with a fish net. Thanks for all the emails and
letters. I sure love them. They keep me going. Love you all!

Mommy,

How are you doing though? I really miss you. This week has been pretty
crazy. We had exchanges. So I went with another sister to her area and
her companions came with sister A. It was pretty fun. The next day we
had a sisters conference. They taught us some things and taught us the
hula. The assistants gave a really good presentation on us being
daughters of God and faith hope and charity. They played a video of
their moms and I bawled. Friday we had a little social thing for the
twig. Not many people came but we played yard Yahtzee. That was fun
Conference was awesome. We went to the jackmans. They're a cute
retired couple that lives here in the summers. They are really good to
us. They bought us pizza and made us taco soup Sunday. Conference was
really pretty cool. Lots of great uplifting messages. I can't wait
till it comes out so I can read them during Studies.
Mom I have been thinking a lot this week about you. I have been so
very very grateful for you, especially this week. So many people here
tell me about how bad their parents are. To come from a loving family
like I do is a rarity. I was teaching a lesson to a member on how we
can use Facebook to do missionary work, and how by small and simple
things are great things brought to pass. I teared up when I told her
how when I was struggling where I thought I couldn't go on a mission,
how you reached out probably by a simple post, and then I had 50
emails giving me encouragement and support. Especially from you. She
hugged me twice at the end of the lesson saying one was from you and I
cried all the way to the next lesson. Mom I am so grateful for you and
your example and your support. Because of you and dad I am able to say
I know and love the savior. Like the stripling warriors taught by
their loving mothers, I too can say that I did not doubt that you knew
it. I could not and cannot do this without you. I love you my sweet
angel mother.
