Hello All!

So this week has been a crazy week. But still mostly good.

So we almost dropped Valarie. We came to her house for her appointment and her daughter answered the door and said that Valarie was in Tennessee. Problem was is that I could see her sitting on the couch through the crack in the door.... But obviously cant point that out because people get defensive when you point out their lies.... So we went away freaking out thinking shes dropping us. So we waited and freaked out a few days before calling her and she was super nice and set up an appointment with us. Which she then canceled and set another one, which she didnt answer the door for.... needless to say we were freaking out big time. BUT We finally stopped by unannounced yesterday. She let us in as was so glad to see us. She wanted to start the 15 step program right a way, set another time to meet with us and wants to come to church again........ I have no idea what happened but we are praying it never happens again.

Also Fred is getting baptized this week!!!!!!! He is super excited and super ready. So this week is going to be crazy trying to plan and do a baptism so Im stoked. Sadly he doesnt really like me much yet. So Im kind of sad that my first baptism isnt someone who Ive taught a lot and have a really good relationship with, but still really happy to see him get baptized.

Also our heater broke sometime during the night Wednesday. So we woke up Thursday freezing cold. And maintenance ignored our calls. So Sister Brough ended up calling them. And they came and fixed it Friday morning. Meanwhile we had a little tiny heater. So we dressed up like eskimos and had on a billion layers to stay warm. Our apartment is really really old and kind of terrible. But we now have heat, good warm heat. So Im happy.

The biggest thing that happened this week was the missionary broadcast. Absolutely amazing and with some mind blowing changes for missionaries. They made changes to the missionary schedule that were way crazy. It allows a lot more flexibility and requires the proper use of agency of all the missionaries. It will weed out a lot of the missionaries who are not obedient. From now on companionship study is during the day sometime. You're supposed to plan it in with what fits best in your schedule. Daily planning is now during the morning. Lunch is now only a half hour. as well as 12 Week and language study, BUT the awesomest part is.... Bedtime can now be an hour earlier. Yep we can basically go to bed now anywhere between 9:30 and 10:30. Its the best. Also P day now has an extra 2 hours. So we dont do any companionship study on P days. We get up at 6:30 as normal, get ready and then at 7 we plan till 7:30 and then from 7:30 till 8 we do personal study. So now we only have to do a half hour on Mondays, and then Pday starts at 8 instead of 10. Its so awesome. Gives us more time to get everything done that needs to be done. I love it. We also now have only 4 Key Indicators. Key indicators for all you non missionary peeps are basically goals missionaries set and account on to our leaders. But the 12 said that we are becoming to number focused and not people focused or focusing on the right things. So now we only have 4 Key Indicators instead of 9. Crazy..... But it really makes you focus and plan better and with the missionary purpose in mind. way cool.

During interviews this week President and I basically just fangirled over Elder Bednar. The training was amazing. David A Bednar is a stud. He made some amazing comments and insights that just fired us up for missionary work. He talked a lot about how a missionaries purpose and the doctrine/gospel of Christ is one and that all the components, Faith, Repentance, Baptism, The Holy Ghost, and Enduring to the end all go back to, and are one with Christ. I cant explain how he said it, but it was so inspired and just way cool. It was a great reminder of what we are supposed to teach and who we are supposed to be witnesses of. We stand as representatives of Christ. His name should always be on our lips and our testimonies should be born frequently of him. We dont preach Joseph Smith, We dont preach the Book of Mormon. We preach of Christ. We preach faith unto repentance through him. We preach his gospel. His word. His teachings. My mission scripture says "Ye shall bear record of me, even Jesus Christ." Im am so glad that I have this opportunity to declare that we have a Savior that loves us and has prepared away for us to be happy for an eternity. This gospel is awesome!! I pray that we are all doing our best to make it so that our thoughts, words, and actions are all a testament of Jesus Christ.

Love you all! Have a great week! Enjoy your 6 feet of nasty snow!!

I will post some picts tomorrow.
