Hello All!

Hope you are all doing well this week. Its been a super busy week this week for us missionaries. We have been running around everywhere. But its been fun. Sorry my letters are so long.

I started off this week still feeling absolutely awful. So I finally got a blessing and the next morning I felt a lot better. Still sick but I could atleast function. So the Priesthood is awesome. Its also really awesome because our super prepared, grabbed the gospel with both hands, came to church 2 weeks in a row after barely meeting her, crazy super amount of Faith new investigator Valarie asked for a Priesthood blessing. So a little more on Valarie. Valarie was that awesome lady we found one night when all our lessons canceled. She seems crazy prepared. She just loved the restoration. Came to church that first week for all 3 hours and she got a gospel principles book and the new Relief Society manual and she sits and reads those all day along with the book of Mormon. The first Sunday she came we talked about Priesthood in Gospel Principles. The next time we went to her house she asked if they do blessings for healing and after we explained the priesthood blessings she really wanted one. So she got one this Sunday and came out super happy. We are going over there tonight so we will see what she thought. We stayed outside the room and took care of her 2 grandchildren. So super excited for her. She has such immense faith. When we told her she would have to give up coffee and cigarettes she was just like "Ok can you help me?" Just awesome.

Also while visiting a less active family this week we were told that the husband is a horse whisperer. He absolutely loves horses and can sit and talk to them apparently. Him and Jessie would get a long really well. Also we got to go eat lunch at a less active families house that live way out in Amish country. It was sooo fun! They had this 4 day old baby goat they are keeping in the house and a little tiny puppy too. Oh my goodness they were adorable.

So for District meeting this week we had a district potluck. It was pretty fun, but the kitchen had a lot of mouse poop and even a dead mouse in it... so that was nasty. needless to say we ate somewhere else. One of the elders made a cheesecake, not to brag or anything but we make it 10x better. Anyway I was telling them about our shaving cream fight we had at the singles ward and I showed them a picture and the senior missionary couple looks at it and she just blurts out "You look like a dork" So that was nice. I just own my dorkiness.

It was pouring rain this week too. We had to go out and TWE at Walmart and it was just pouring. But the Lord blessed us with some really cool people to talk to so it all worked out. Even met this weird religious reformer that talked to us forever. He said we were an answer to prayer to keep doing what hes doing and how major Christianity really doesn't get it and blah blah blah. Definitely interesting. All the while its pouring rain too haha. At least it wasn't super cold and snowing. The weather here has been in the high 50s or 60s this whole week. But its supposed to drop drastically this week.

Yesterday we got to go to a fireside in Louisville with Fred and Sister Jarvis. It was super cool and spiritual because its basically a testimony meeting for recent converts and investigators. And the last testimony was this cute little kid probable about 10 or so who got up and bore his little testimony and cried. It was the most simple and pure testimony. I just loved it. And I got to see Justin and Becca!!! Theyre still doing awesome. Super excited to see them.

We are also having a world wide missionary broadcast this week and apparently they are making some changes to the missionary schedule so this should be interesting. We will have to see what the change. We are all praying its not getting up at 6.

Anyway its been a super busy but pretty fun week here in Glasgow. Im already loving it down here. Still completely lost for the most part but I can get us to the church and to Walmart so I at least got the essentials.

Hope you all have a great week. Love you!!!

I think they were having fun with picture day..
