Oct 30th 2017

Hey Y'all!

It's been a crazy fun week here in old Salem!

So our car had a major freak out, we were safe though and it seems to
be working now that we have replaced the battery. But it was a fun few
hours trying to get that all figured out. 4-5 calls to the mission
office, 2 trips to autozone, 2 missing bolts, and a partridge in a
pear tree later, we finally have a battery.

We were able to do some really fun service helping a member clear and
burn brush on his farm. We roasted hot dogs and marshmallows on said
fire afterwards.

Guess what!! We went to the temple! It was Sarah's first time so we
got to go with her. We only got to do 4 names in the baptistery, but
it was amazing to be back in the temple. She was able to be baptized
for her grandma and the spirit was so strong! We were all crying. It
was a great experience and we are excited for her to continue to move
forward.

This Saturday was also the ward Halloween party. We had it out at the
Suvaks and had an awesome time. They had a huge fire and they even put
a car on top. I love being out in the boonies. We get to doa lot more
fun things.

Sunday was the primary program! Jen and Eric Blackwell came up to
Salem. It was so fun seeing them here. They're just the best. We also
had a pot luck after church. Always a party when there's food
involved. We got to go to stake Choir afterwards too. Perfect way to
end a Sunday.

I had a spiritual thought for y'all but I forgot it in the car, so
I'll make sure to send it next week.

Thank you for all the love and support!

Sister Hoyt
