Between planning a baptism, emergency transfers, Pentecostal bible studies, zone Conference, and getting super sick we have had a busy busy week.
First and foremost.... DENISE GOT BAPTIZED!!!!!!! Fantastic day. She was just so excited. And Chris and Korey were just grinning and were so happy for Denise. I believe Chris will soon follow Denise. We taught the temple lesson this week and they were all super interested and excited. We are looking forward to getting her to the temple on May 20th for Stake temple day. She is already super excited to get involved and even paid tithing this week. Just love her! It also just happened to be Derby day, so that was pretty cool.
Emergency transfers went ok. I really miss Sister Hafen, but My new companion is Sister Dorian. It'll be an interesting transfer for sure. But I think it'll be a good one. She's really excited to be serving in Glasgow.
So I got pretty sick Wednesday, so the day was kind of miserable, but we got to go to a Pentecostal bible study with Tony. There was a lot of screaming and yelling and the spirit definitely wasn't there. Well there may have been A spirit there. But I'm pretty sure it wasn't the one we wanted. But it was interesting to see they still had some truth. Though some of it was just wayyyyy crazy. They made us fill out these papers so the preacher could announce us from the pulpit and gave us these little gift bags full of Pentecostal memorabilia. They were really excited for the chance to try and convert a missionary. So grateful for the Book of Mormon and modern revelation.
We had Zone Conferences this week. During lunch we got to wear the big derby hats, so that was fun. I was debating the idea of coming home wearing a big derby hat off the plane.... we had some really great trainings. President has also started doing these informational/doctrine trainings. This month was on the house/tribes of Israel. We also had a really good training on being bold as we testify. I am not so good at that. My new companion is pretty bold though so we may balance each other out.
Oh we got to do some fun service this week. We got to help clean out Chris and Denise's animal cages. So I got to hold and touch snakes, bearded dragons, skinks, and ferrets. It was tons of fun. Sister Hafen would have had a heart attack. We also got to hold brand new little kittens and some bunnies too.
To all the amazing mother figures in my life, especially my most amazing mommy, I love you!!
