May 22nd 2017 Kentucky Down Under

Good day Mates!

So just had like the best Pday ever!!!! I got to pet a Kangaroo!!!
Chris and Denise took us to this place called Kentucky Down Under.
Chris used to work there for a lot of years so he basically knew
everything about it. They have a whole bunch of animals you can go
pet. There were Kangaroos, birds, snakes, Emus, dingos, foxes, wolves,
etc. and they even had a small cave tour. They also had a bird cage
where they would land all over you. One landed on my head!!!! It was
the coolest.

We sadly lost our car today, they are finally taking it in repairs for
something g that happened before I even got here.... so we will be
biking and walking for the rest of the week. Joy. Luckily the weather
isn't supposed to be as hot as this last week so that'll be a
blessing. I finally got a bike that works too that'll make things
easier.

The other amazing thing we got to do this week was take Denise to the
temple. Sadly Fred and Tiffany could not come but we had an awesome
day with Denise. She drove us up in her truck and it was a party. The
temple is beautiful and I love spending time there. It made it all the
sweeter seeing Denise experience it for the first time.

This has been another great week for service opportunities and
finding. We have been working our little tails off. We have found 8
new investigators this week and 8 last week. They're not all exactly
solid, but many are promising. We are going through and weeding out
some people this week to find those who are truly prepared. We also
got to do a lot of service, including the soup kitchen and singing for
the adult day care center. I love having those opportunities that just
help strengthen my love for people and my missionary work. The love of
Christ is easily felt through service.

Couple of miracles this week. We were driving down Happy Valley rd
here in Glasgow and we both felt like we had to turn around and go
back to this slightly shady hotel a little ways back. When we get
there there is a lady sitting outside that we get out and start
talking to. She was so excited to see us because she had just been
crying and had liked something on Facebook about God sending her a hug
or something and then we show up to give her one and talk to her. She
was so happy to talk to us and was super willing to have us back so we
will see how that goes. She's really sweet and introduced us to her 2
neighbors, one who was going to court after being arrested that
weekend and then one who belonged to a nudist colony in Michigan....
We have appointments to teach them too. :)

The other one was just a few hours later when our lesson fell through
so we went and knocked a few doors around it. This one lady let us
right in and started talking to us. She said she had been searching
for the right church and had just recently found Christianity again
after many years of being Wiccan. She was super super cool and we are
both very excited about her.

So just another typical crazy week in Glasgow. Looking forward to an
even crazier one this week.

Also shout out to my little brother and cousin for graduating this
week! Y'all are old farts now. I'm so very proud of you!! Keep killing
it!

Love and miss you all!!! Have a wonderful week!
