Also something that was not a coincident but was really amazing. He was relating a personal experience of when he was getting ready to leave the following day from the MTC to Kentucky and became very homesick. He prayed for a long time that night and in the morning he opened up the scriptures and he was impressed to go to the Doctorine and Covenants chapter 68:6 and it reads "Wherefore be of good cheer, and do not fear, for I the Lord am with you, and will stand by you, and ye shall bear record of me, even Jesus Christ, that I am the son of the living God, that I was, that I am, and that I am to come".
This scripture gave him the peace and comfort that he needed and he said he was not homesick again till 2 years later when he was once again leaving his home in Kentucky. When he said this Allie just began to sob and he didnt know why until she told him that this scripture was her scripture the one she chose to be put on her missionary plaque. He was astonished and quite taken back. He had no idea she had picked this scripture for her scripture. It was a very cool experience.
There are no coincidences in the church and within the Gospel!!!!
He was meant to be here tonight and be the one to set Allie apart. He was inspired by the spirit to share his personal experience with this scripture with us. He gave her a beautiful blessing. Such an emotional, but blessed night.
My dad was able to take some pictures of her putting her pin on the map of where she is serving. I will post them on here as soon as I get them. Stay tuned..
Not looking forward to tomorrow, but excited for her as well. A new door will open for her and thus begins a new chapter to her life.
