Aug 14th 2017
It's been a crazy hot minute here. Easily one of the craziest weeks of
my mission. Better grab a snack because this will probably be a long
one.
So yeah transfers were this week and after the super sad goodbye to
Sister Nielson I headed up to the chapel to get my trainee. As soon as
I walk in President makes a beeline for me and pulls me aside. Only to
tell me that my trainee had dislocated or hurt her hip in the MTC and
wasn't able to make it. What?! I had been freaking out for days only
to hear she didn't make it?! He informed me he didn't know what they
were going to do with me yet, but hopefully she would be here in a
week. So they were trying to decide what to do with me for a week
while I just sat with all the other trainers and trainees without a
companion feeling awkward as heck. Eventually Sarah and Leonard came
up so I stuck with them for a while. Then President and the APs
decided to send me to be in a trio with the Madison sisters for a week
and just work both areas. Then gave me permission to go to Salem with
Sarah and Leonard (WITHOUT A COMPANION) to pack up my bags and head to
Madison.
So Sarah and Leonard took me up. They were awesome enough to get me
chick-fil-a first. Waffles fries are the bomb.com. Then headed to
Salem to pack. Weirdest feeling ever without a companion. I was
actually alone by myself for a few minutes in the house.... idk what
I'm going to do when I get home and don't have a companion because
that was crazy. But then the Madison sisters showed up and we drove to
Madison.
Yeah weirdest week ever. Lots of driving and crazyness trying to
figure out working 2 areas 40 miles apart. We jumped back and forth
between the 2 areas and basically had a week long sleep over. It was
fun but also hard. Both of the sisters are going home in like 2 weeks
so they are kind of trunky. And trying to work schedules out is kind
of nuts. But we did it and everything worked out fine. My new sister
will be here tomorrow and I will go to Louisville to pick her up.
President can't be there so it's just going to be me and the Bowmans.
Also our house is torn apart and covered in plaster dust because they
are repairing the walls, so there's a lot of cleaning and stuff to do
hopefully before she gets here. So it's going to be a hectic week
trying to adjust back and figure out training. But we had some great
adventures and are looking forward to new ones.
Sadly we weren't able to set a date with Sarah with all the craziness
going on, but hopefully we will get back on track and get things
moving this next week.
I love and miss you all! Thanks for the love and prayers!

Just for fun if you're not bored yet ;p
Some of the things I learned this week:
-Eating a whole pineapple by yourself is not a good idea
-Pop tarts are a nutritious dinner
-Air mattresses from the mission office suck
-Plaster dust tastes and smells bad
-Don't leave your adhesive remover at the other apartment and then try
and rip your insulin pump off and have to take an emergency trip to
Walmart at 10:30 and have to call the APs
-Never stand up or sit up straight in the Madison apartments bedroom.
(3 goose eggs later)
- Go big or go home, or go home big- new missionary motto
-Even seasoned missionaries aren't perfect
-It's not a sin to be weak
- Exercise time doughnut runs are fun
- My Plan is ridiculous
- trios are super fun
