April 10th 2017

Hey Yall!

All is well down here in the south. We've had a really busy week and
have gotten a lot done. Though I have no idea what to wrote about.

Most exciting things that happened this week was that Tiffany got
confirmed. She was grinning the whole day.
The other really exciting thing was that Denise came to church and
absolutely loved it. She sent us a text that said she just felt so
welcomed and that she just wanted to come all the time and be a part
of things. Yeahhhh buddy! We had an amazing lesson with her this week.
It was one of the dreaded lessons. The Word of Wisdom. But the spirit
was there so strong and she said "sounds like the diet I wanted to
live anyway, I don't need Coffee" it was amazing. So now we just have
to worry about the Law of Chastity thing. It's a sensitive subject to
her because she has a very gay son. But with God all things are
possible.

Another interesting part of the week happened when we got a referral.
When we get a referral from Mormon.org they send us a text and email
with this person's contact info and what they said they wanted. Turns
out this lady asked for a Bible and to meet with us. Problem is she is
way out in the boonies of our huge area. Like 40 miles away boonies.
So we went out to find her after we called her to tel, her were
coming. Going down some crazy back dirt roads in a subaru. But just as
we were finding g her road she said she wasn't going to be home for a
few hours now and we can just leave the Bible in the mailbox......
After we drove 40 miles one way just to go see her...... So because we
are not supposed to put things in mail boxes we drove to her house
which was way back from the road to put it on her porch. Well Sister
Hafen freaked out because they had a whole bunch of dogs outside. So
she was going to write a note and make me get out of the car to put it
and the Bible on the door. But just as we were going to do that she
pulls in! She had forgotten something so she came back. If we left it
in her mail box we would have missed her. She said she had to go again
but she said she's really been searching for something more than her
church taught her and set up a time to meet us in Glasgow. So we're
excited about her.

The other most exciting thing was that we got to have a bonfire and
"Southern hotdogs" with a member in our ward and 2 girls who are
nannies in Michigan but we're visiting down here. One is from Germany
and the other is from Brazil. It was lots of fun. Southern hotdogs
consisted of frying the buns in butter on a pancake grill, then
putting mayo on the inside and then piling chili, onions, and coleslaw
on top with mustard and ketchup. You have to eat it with a fork and it
was surprisingly delicious. Then we introduced them to roasting
starbursts. They were all so amazed and thought we were geniuses lol.

Also we found a zebra and a zonkey in the middle of Glasgow.
Apparently this guy keeps them as pets. He has camels too apparently,
but we didn't get to see those.

So excited for Easter. I love getting to share about the atonement and
Heavenly Father's plan for us a lot this last few weeks. The churches
#PrinceofPeace iniative is awesome. People stop and listen to you when
you ask them something they don't expect. And this is a good way to do
it. Go check it out on Mormon.org and then share it with somebody you
love. Preferably a non-member of course. Gotta do that missionary
work.

Anyway hope Yall have a great week. Enjoy this Easter season! Share
the Gospel! And stay happy. Love Yall so much!!
