Sept 18th 2017

It's been a hot mess of a week. But a pretty good one I guess.

We had an amazing conference with Elder Clayton and Elder Taylor of
the 70. We were able to be with them most of the day and it was
amazing to learn from them. They asked me literally the night before
to give a short talk. I was going to kill them. But it went ok and
they are still in one piece. Sister Wright was in a lot of pain but
made it through the week.

We had fun walking around Settlers day here in Salem. They had fun
little booths, museums, and people running around in era clothing.
Super fun. Got to talk to a bunch of people.

The coolest thing that happened this week was Sydney! Sydney is a
granddaughter of an excommunicated member who has been trying to find
out more about God and religion in general. Her grandma suggested the
missionaries and she called us! She is super awesome. She was really
sweet and was super excited to come to church and take the lessons.
We're excited for her.

Michael is still doing well. He is starting the stop smoking program
and is ready to quit. He has been talking about baptism recently. We
just need to get him to church.

We took Sister Wright to the airport today. Super sad but definitely
for the best. Got to take her out in style though, our branch
president has an old ambulance, so they drove us down in that :) quite
fitting. I'm staying in Louisville till transfers tomorrow. I am
training again. Yeahhhh super crazy. After this last transfer I'm a
little nervous about training again but I guess God knows something I
don't. It'll be interesting to see how this goes.

We went to the zoo today for Pday. It was fun to hang out with the
other sisters.

Love and miss you all! Thanks for all you do!

Sister Hoyt
